Garage Doors: Open and Close Your Garage with Ease
Garage Doors is a free app developed by Vitalij Schaefer that allows you to conveniently open and close your garage door using your iPhone or iPad. To use this app, you will need a garage with a door drive and a "2 Channel Relay Module Bluetooth BLE". The module can be easily ordered from various online shops.
One of the standout features of Garage Doors is its ability to connect with multiple relay modules, enabling you to control several garage doors with just one app. By assigning an alias to each module, such as "Garage at home" or "Garage at work", you can easily differentiate between them.
The app also provides the option to set the signal duration and relay number. For double garages with two doors, both relays can be utilized, resulting in separate buttons for each gate. Additionally, for enhanced security, the default password can be changed to an eight-digit code.
In addition to controlling your garage door from your iPhone or iPad, Garage Doors also offers compatibility with Apple Watch. With the Apple Watch Series 0 and Series 1, the commands are sent via Bluetooth from your iPhone. However, with the Apple Watch Series 2 and newer, the connection to the module only needs to be set up once with the iPhone, allowing the Apple Watch app to independently open and close the garage without the need for the iPhone.
